Hugo Hoedemaker

I studied Zoology at the Hogeschool Utrecht and did internships at the EPFL in Switzerland on spinal lesions and at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN) on interactions between the cerebellum and motor cortex. From 2015 until 2020 I worked at the NIN in the lab of Chris de Zeeuw and did complex procedures like, but not limited to, calcium imaging and optogenetics. I also had the pleasure of working with Tycho Hoogland on the development of a novel miniature microscope called the NINscope. Since June 2020 I am a laboratory technician at the VU where I’ll be using my expertise to implement mini-scope technology in the behavioral paradigms of the MCN lab.
